INTEC was pleased to welcome you at its second Annual Meeting on September 14-15th 2023. Organized by prof. Frank Rutsch and dr. Yvonne Nitschke, our 2023 venue was wonderful Münster, Germany. The organizers of this year’s meeting went „one step beyond“ ectopic calcification and put together a scientific program focusing on translational aspects. Experts in the field presented results of preclinical studies, clinically relevant endpoints for clinical studies, and ongoing clinical trials for ectopic calcification disorders. Additionally, free communications and posters on all aspects of ectopic calcification were presented based on selected abstracts. On the second day, in parallel to the INTEC Consortium Meeting, young researchers took part in a career development workshop. All participants also enjoyed the networking event on September 14th at an inspiring location.Â

The scientific part of the meeting took place in the seminar rooms of the Medical Faculty of  the Münster University Hospital (Universitats-klinikum Münster – UKM).

The program of this two-days meeting wass designed to give you a state-of-the-art update on preclinical and clinical studies as well as endpoints and biomarkers in the field of ectopic calcification via invited talks of renowned expertise and selected oral presentations of early career researchers. Furthermore, we organized a fascinating workshop for young researchers on development of individual plans for career planning.Â
